On February 12th took place the First Workshop on ERSAT EAV at the premises of Gruppo FS Italiane (Italian State Railway Group) with the participation of Maurizio Gentile, Chief Executive Officer of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (Gruppo FS Italiane), Carlo Des Dorides, Executive Director of European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA), Joseph Doppelbauer, Executive Director of European Railway Agency (ERA), Amedeo Gargiulo, Director of the National Agency for Railway Safety (ANSF) and Stefano Siragusa, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Ansaldo STS (Ref.1). ERSAT EAV, a project co-funded by GSA in the frame of H2020 program and coordinated by Ansaldo STS, aims to contribute to the adoption of GNSS applications for the evolution of the European standard platform for train control systems – ERTMS for the local and regional lines (Ref.2 ). Prof.Neri, president of Radiolabs partner of ERSAT EAV presented the project achievements on the high integrity augmentation networks (Ref. 3 ).
