The Project
This activity is comprised within the context of a Project regarding the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms for specific vertical markets. These reprogrammable radio platforms enable the provision of telecommunication services for HF, VHF and UHF narrow and/or wide band, by using a single HW/SW platform on which SW (Waveform) programs, performing transceiver functionalities belonging to different communication standards and protocols, are run. The realization of this kind of radio equipments requires the development of special SW (Waveform) programs, built using standard methodologies (SCA Software Communications Architecture) with which software portability on different HW/SW platforms is guaranteed.
The objective of the project regards the study, the definition, the development and the testing of waveforms according to the SCA methodology for reprogrammable radio platforms in HF band, in line with the standards STANAG 4285 and MIL-STD-188-110.
