Objective
We are seeking an high skill developer, who will be responsible for developing software modules and components of varying size and complexity, to be involved on a project focused on the design, development, prototyping and testing of a dedicated Multi Link satellite-based Communication Platform (MLCP), a candidate solution to be used in a multi-bearer context, to be used in the European and worldwide context. In this role, the candidate will collaborate and interface with Project Leader.
The project exploit innovative features such as the use of multiple public networks (SatCom and cellular) and intelligent routing with cognitive algorithms to guarantee Quality of Service, suitable for the specific application domain, without the need of deploying a dedicated telecommunication infrastructure.
This opportunity is for a full-time job.

Education and Professional experience
- Ph.D.’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, graduate or in current academic year
- At least two years of professional experience in innovative industrial TLC projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Deep knowledge and real experience in
- Advanced network transport protocols in mobility environment, such as MPTCP, MPRTP and SCTP
- LTE / TDSCDMA / CDMA / GSM network structure and protocol stack
- Network traffic profiling and emulation
- Data and transmission channel coding (Fountain codes, in particular Raptor and RaptorQ codes)
- VoIP coding, control and transmission protocols (especially G.711, G.729, G.723, SIP, H.323 and RTP/RTCP)
- MPEG2, MPEG4 and H.264 media compression protocols
- Video and audio quality assessment for both subjective and objective methods
- Virtualized environment system and network (e.g. VirtualBox, VMWare)
- OS Linux and Windows
- Programming languages object oriented (Python, C++)
- Fluent English and Italian languages
Basic knowledge about
- Railway environment and especially ETCS/ERTMS (EDOR module)
- UNISIG Subset 093, GSM-R Interfaces Bearer Service Requirements
- Statistical methods
