Radiolabs was invited by Eurisy to participate to the webinar “Space 4 Critical Infrastructure: Putting the EC-proposal into action”, organized in collaboration with NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) that has the mission of exploring and promoting the benefits of space uses at regional level working on political dialogue/advocacy, interregional co-operations and partnerships, new trends and outreach.
Space 4 Critical Infrastructure aims at presenting how satellite-based solutions can contribute to the monitoring and maintenance of critical entities toward regional stakeholders, research and business community. The session of 24 May 2022, in which Radiolabs was involved, included the presentation the EU policies for the green transition and construction and of two ongoing European initiatives: the enterprice network “Mille infrastructures” dedicated to monitoring of infrastructures supported by satellite applications and innovative solutions, and the HELMET project in which EGNSS applications transforming roads and railways into a synergic ecosystem sharing digital infrastructures in order to improve safety and reduce consumption and pollution.
Radiolabs, as project coordinator, presented the HELMET project, providing an example of a European project on the definition and development of innovative EGNSS applications for smart mobility solutions, presenting objectives and activities carried out by the consortium, as well as new R&D opportunities that could involve road and rail infrastructure managers and service providers.
