The results of projects in the field of automotive and industry 4.0 have been presented by the partners of the Automotive Innovation Pole at Pescara on October 30th. At this event Enrico Pisino, president of the Cluster Transportation Italy 2020, has spoken on the “ Connected Vehicle and new Challenges for the Mobility”.
“The automotive sector – added Pisino – is evolved from a principally metalmechanic ecosystem to an innovative and evolved system, characterized by new competences and for this reason is important the contribution of the Universities and the Clusters such as the Automotive, which create a network between various actors to manage the future challenges.” Furthermore Pisino has underlined the importance of the connected car and the electrical propulsion for the future mobility which will allow a reduction of the emissions, a sustainable mobility for the citizens with more efficiency and a flexible buying capacity. Pisino stressed the strategic role of the EMERGE project (whose the Automotive Pole is one of the partners) and the sperimentation of the 5G undergoing in l’Aquila (one of the 5 Italian cities selected for these trials), emphasizing the scientific and technological excellence of the Abruzzo Region ecosystem in this sector other than the well consolidated mechanical one.
Important testimonies were given during the Automotive Pole workshop by Paola Inverardi, Rector of the University of l’Aquila and Deputy Chairman of Radiolabs, Angelo Coppola and Marcello Vinciguerra respectively managers of Sevel and Honda.
