Customer: European Community – Frame Program 6 IST FET
Duration: 2006-2009
The Project
The objective of the AEOLUS Project consists in defining a global computer, composed by Internet-connected calculation units, with different capabilities and communication protocols, globally available and able to provide a wide range of integrated and high-level services to its users, which can thus exploit aggregated computational power, storage space and information resource. The project will develop a platform enabling the deployment of a class of applications, chosen as target for the evaluation of the principles and algorithms which will constitute the architecture of the platform.
